Conference Organizers
ICHSIP-32 was co-organized by the Physics of Fluids group at the University of Twente and the BUBBL group at the University of Oxford. The conference chair was Michel Versluis (University of Twente) and the co-chair was Eleanor Stride (University of Oxford).
The congress took place at the Waaier building on the University of Twente campus, Hallenweg 21, 7522 NH Enschede, The Netherlands.
The 32nd International Congress on High-Speed Imaging and Photonics brings together leading scientists, engineers, and researchers from around the world to explore the latest advances in capturing motion and light at extraordinary speeds. Held in Enschede, the Netherlands, the congress showcases a wide range of application fields, from fluid dynamics and bubble studies to ultrafast microscopy and live-cell imaging. Participants will encounter contributed talks, poster sessions, and exhibitions featuring cutting-edge technologies, all contributing to a rich exchange of discoveries and technical innovations that push the boundaries of what high-speed imaging can reveal about the physical world.
The scientific program is designed to bridge fundamental research and practical applications, with particular emphasis on viscous flows, microgravity conditions, and the intricate dynamics of bubbles and fluids. Beyond the technical sessions, the congress celebrates the artistic dimension of high-speed photography, recognizing work that blends scientific precision with visual beauty through dedicated awards and honorable mentions. This dual focus on rigorous science and aesthetic appreciation reflects the congress's longstanding tradition of honoring excellence across both the laboratory and the gallery.
Attendees will find ample opportunity to connect with peers, explore the venue and surrounding hotels, and engage with exhibitors presenting the newest instruments and imaging platforms. The organizers, drawn from leading university research groups, have crafted a program that balances invited talks from prominent speakers with contributed presentations across multiple categories. Whether one is submitting an abstract, planning travel, or simply seeking inspiration, the congress offers a welcoming environment for advancing knowledge and fostering collaborations that extend well beyond the meeting itself.
